Artist of the Day: Keiki Kobayashi

Kobayashi holding the OSTs of Ace Combat Zero and Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War

I skipped over day 4 as to space out the artists/bands/composers. Today’s composer of the day, is none other than Keiki Kobayashi… the mastermind composer behind the Ace Combat soundtrack.

A little about Kobayashi… obviously he is a Japanese composer, in which he is most famous for his work on the Ace Combat series soundtracks (the game made by Namco-Bandai). He started working on/with the Ace Combat series with Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies. Other work in the Ace Combat series includes, Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War as well as Ace Combat Zero. (Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War was made after Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War as a back story.) His latest works for the Ace Combat Series is from Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, where he was not only the sound director, but also a composer a few tracks like “Rebirth,” “Horizon,” “Release,” “Infiltrator,” “Deja vu,” “His Repose,” and “Refrain.”

If you need a sample of his work, go to YouTube and search “Rex Tremondae” or “Megalith~Agnus Dei” (or you can click and listen to the track(s) below)

Or if you need more of an example of his work, go back to YouTube and search “Zero Ace Combat” (or click the link below)
